Graham has served on the FRC Group board since 1999 when he was recruited as chairman.

Graham also sits on the boards of 3 private sector companies - Bibby Line Group (Non Executive Deputy Chairman), Sigma QC and Moscow based GEMA Motors. Additionally Graham is a board member of a number of other third sector organizations including Charities Trust and Liverpool John Moores’ University

Graham’s career in the motor industry began upon graduating from University when he joined British Leyland as a financial analyst at Longbridge.

Before leaving his last full time job as Chief Executive of Rolls- Royce and Bentley Motors – a position he resigned from on principle regarding the splitting of the two brands between VW Group and BMW – Graham had held senior international jobs with Leyland, Leyland DAF, Rover and Audi AG.

Chris has served on the board of FRC Group since 2002. He is currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Urban and Regional Studies (CURS) at the University of Birmingham, working especially with graduate research and mid-career students from many parts of the world.

Chris has more than thirty years’ experience of research, teaching and consultancy in housing, urban policy and international urban development.

He was Director of the Centre for Urban and Regional Studies at the University of Birmingham from 1987 to 1992.

Chris was Chair of Mercian Housing Association in Birmingham from 1999 to 2005. He is a member of the Asia-Pacific Network for Housing Research and the European Network for Housing Research: and is a co-ordinator of the ENHR Working Group on Housing in Developing Countries.

Erik has served on the FRC Group board since 2002.

Erik serves on several company boards as a non executive Director such as Migrant Workers North West.

During his career, he has worked as a sustainable development practitioner in the public, private, third and now academic sector.

Until June 2007, and for ten years, he was Chief Executive of the UK National Centre for Business & Sustainability. Erik has also

been sustainability advisor to Co-operatives UK and Liverpool City Council.

Erik is a frequent contributor to newspaper, TV and radio programmes covering a range of sustainability issues from recycling and renewable energy to social cohesion and responsible business issues. His most recent written work includes texts on sustainable governance, social enterprise and the recycling sector, and the relationship between health in the workplace and business reputation on sustainable development.

Jeff has served on the board of FRC Group since 2005.

Jeff is the Finance Director of Rathbone Investment Management (RIM) which is a leading provider of discretionary investment and wealth management services for private clients and trustees. He also has operational responsibility for Group

Treasury, Banking and regulatory reporting. He is a member of

the RIM Executive, Banking Committee and Risk Committee.

He qualified as an accountant while with Royal Insurance (now Royal SunAlliance) where he also gained an an MBA . Having spent over 7 years with RSA in a variety of finance based roles, he joined Rathbones in 1999 and was appointed to the RIM Board in November 2000.

Jeremy Nicholls became the chief executive of the SROI (Social Return on Investment) Network in 2008.

Starting out as an accountant, his work has increasingly focused on finding ways for organisations to better understand and then manage the social value they create.

In 2000 he set up the Cat’s Pyjamas to support and advocate

social enterprise and shortly after started working on the development of SROI.

He wrote ‘There’s no business like Social Business’ with Liam Black and he co-wrote the recent Cabinet Office supported ‘Guide to SROI’ He is the chair of FairPensions, a director of the FRC Group and a director of the BETA Model which provides analyses of the UK business population.

Dr John Hines gained his PhD in Chemistry from Oxford University before joining Unilever as a research scientist.

Working first in the Laundry category, John lead teams in research and new product development for famous brands such as Persil and Surf, including two years in Holland.

As R&D Operations Manager for Dove, John pioneered innovation strategy and “product philosophy”, including the development of Dove’s widely acknowledged stances on real care and sustainability.

In 2008, John left Unilever to take up a new challenge with CERAM Research heading the Consultancy business and as Chief

Product & Technology Officer for the group. From 2010, John is Group R&D Director for Deb Group Ltd, the world's leading away from home skin care company.

A passionate advocate of product excellence and in particular sustainable innovation, John is an established expert within the well-known Green Mondays network providing support and guidance to encourage environmental management.

He is married to Jane and together they have two young children, Isabel and Oliver. In his spare time, John enjoys a wide variety of sports and hobbies and family days out in the surrounding countryside.

Shaun has worked for FRC Group since 1999.

Shaun's remit is to ensure that FRC Group's trading companies - Furniture Resource Centre and Bulky Bob's - achieve both commercial success and a social dividend.

Additionally, it is Shaun’s responsibility to manage the business development programme. FRC group ambitious growth programme includes the incremental growth of existing businesses, the creation of new social businesses and the acquisition of or merger with private companies and other social enterprise.

Prior to joining FRC Group, Shaun’s career was in the timber industry. During this time Shaun managed a number of timber import, export, manufacturing and distribution companies in the UK, Eastern Europe and North America.

Shaun is a graduate of both Liverpool University (Sociology) and Liverpool John Moore’s University (Business and Finance).

Shaun is married to Lindsay and is father to young twins Jack and Meghan – and consequently has little time for hobbies but enjoys reading, music and gardening.

Niki has worked for FRC Group since 2004.

Niki’s role is to monitor and report on progress of strategic objectives and to control the financial position of the group. Niki is responsible for the group’s cash management, credit control, purchase ledger and payroll functions.

Additionally, Niki spends an increasing amount of time producing

financial plans to assist in the group’s business development planning.

Prior to working at FRC Group, Niki worked for an accountancy practice , a range of private companies , a small charity and ran her own business – a public house in Preston.

Niki is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Verity has worked for FRC Group since 2007.

Verity’s role is to work throughout FRC Group to achieve continual improvement of existing impacts and to increase the depth and scope of impacts through new initiatives. Verity is responsible for proving FRC Group’s impacts through feedback to stakeholders and the annual Impact Report which won the SE100 “Impact Champion” award in 2010.

Prior to working at FRC Group, Verity was policy lead for health and social care issues for Sefton Council for Voluntary Service and prior to that worked within the recruitment industry.

Originally from Stroud, Gloucestershire, Verity graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA(Hons) 1st Class in Politics in 2001.

Collette has worked for FRC Group since 2001.

Collette is responsible for the management of all of FRC Group’s training and placement programmes and also manages the Group’s personnel function. Collette has vast knowledge and experience of the issues affecting long term unemployed people and the barriers that hold them back. Collette is also National Ambassador for the National Training Awards.

Collette has a number of qualifications including NVQ Level 4 in Management, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in training and is working towards becoming a Chartered member of the CIPD.

Outside of work, Collette continues her passion for people through her involvement in the management of a dance troupe ‘The Liverpool Fusiliers’ that is based in the disadvantaged area of Speke in Liverpool.
