Proving It – FRC Group is UK Impact Champion
The whole purpose of FRC Group is to make a difference to people’s lives, to create a social impact. We have a strong commitment to our “Proving It” agenda because this is how we give information to all the people we matter to and who matter to us– our customers, partners, staff, trainees, work placements, volunteers and trustees and a whole host of interested academics, politicians, civil servants and opinion makers –we provide regular information about the social impact that we are creating.
“Proving It” is about understanding the impact we make, measuring our impacts, setting stretching targets for improvement and valuing what matters to the people who matter. The nuts and bolts of “Proving It” is about collecting information from our activities and using it to tell our story. The result is information that helps to reward and motivate our staff for their hard work and passion.

The flagship document we have produced each year since 1999 is our impact report / social report / sustainability report – needless to say our approach has changed over time! Crucially, the report is independently assured by a third party.
Our work has been cited as an example of best practice. We have twice won the ACCA / Accountability Award for Best Social Report (2002 and 2004) and we were shortlisted in the Best Sustainability Report in 2007. In 2009, Social Enterprise Magazine called us “the UK’s leading social reporters” and listed us as leading the field in measuring social value in three sectors – charities, recycling and training.
